Almost every emergency call we run in August was avoidable in April.
A capacitor that was reading weak. A drain line starting to close up. A refrigerant charge drifting low from a leak nobody had found yet. None of those announce themselves — the system keeps running until the afternoon it doesn’t, and by then it’s a repair instead of a cleaning.
In a climate where the air conditioning runs most of the year, maintenance isn’t really about protecting a warranty or squeezing out efficiency. It’s about not spending a Saturday in a 90-degree house waiting on a technician, and not paying emergency money for something a twenty-minute check would have caught.

Maintenance is preventive, so the signs are quieter than a breakdown. Worth booking if any of these sound familiar:
None of those is an emergency. All of them are cheaper to deal with now than in August.
We offer three levels, built around how much of the year your system is working and how old it is.
Basic — an annual visit: a full system inspection, coil cleaning and filter replacement. Suited to newer equipment in a house that isn’t heavily occupied.
Preferred — semi-annual visits, spring and fall, plus priority scheduling and a discount on any repair. This is the one most Winter Haven homes want, because it puts a visit before the cooling season and another after it.
Premium — quarterly visits, duct inspection, unlimited filter replacements and extended warranty coverage. Worth it for older systems, larger homes, and anyone who cannot afford an outage.
Every plan is built around a full AC Tune-Up — the inspection, cleaning and calibration that a maintenance visit consists of. If you’d rather book a single visit than join a plan, that’s fine too; the work is the same, you just pay for it one visit at a time.
Plans cover heating as well as cooling. Florida heat gets used a handful of nights a year, which is exactly why it fails on the one night it’s needed — a heat check on the fall visit costs nothing extra.
If a visit turns up something that needs fixing, we quote it before we touch it, and you decide. A maintenance plan is not a route to being sold repairs you don’t need — if anything, the opposite. Catching a weak capacitor in April is how you avoid being quoted a compressor in August.
Plan members also get priority scheduling, which matters most in the weeks when it matters most: when the whole county calls at once, members go to the front of the queue.
Maintenance here isn’t the same job it is further north, and a plan built for a northern climate misses most of what actually goes wrong in Polk County.
Condensate drains. Your system pulls a great deal of water out of the air every day in summer, and in this humidity drain lines grow algae and mold shut. We clear them with an antimicrobial rather than just flushing them.
Corrosion on electrical parts. Humidity works on contactors, capacitors and connections year-round. Catching a corroded contactor during a visit costs a fraction of what it costs when it strands you.
Coils and pollen. Central Florida’s pollen load is heavy enough that coils foul faster here. Cleaning them is most of what restores lost efficiency.
Calibration for humidity, not just temperature. A system tuned to hit a number on the thermostat can still leave a house feeling damp. We check that it’s actually pulling moisture.
We maintain systems across Winter Haven and out through Lakeland, Haines City, Lake Wales, Davenport, Auburndale and Bartow.
A visit takes about an hour to ninety minutes, and we book it at a time that suits you rather than giving you a day-long window.
We inspect, clean, test and calibrate — coils, drain line, electrical components, refrigerant charge, airflow, thermostat — then tell you what we found, including when the answer is that everything is fine.
On price: what a plan costs depends on how many systems you have, their age and how many visits a year you want. We quote it up front, in writing, before you commit to anything, and there’s no charge for asking. Plan members get their repair discount applied automatically — no need to remember to mention it.
Cancel whenever you like. A maintenance plan should be worth renewing on its merits.
Indoor Climate Experts has been owned and operated by John Garcia and his family in Winter Haven since 2004, under Florida State Certified HVAC Contractor license CAC1820221.
The technician who services your system will most likely be the same one next time. Our core team has been together for years, and every one of them is NATE certified, EPA 608 Universal certified, BPI certified, background-checked and drug-tested.
That continuity is worth more on maintenance than on any other service — someone who saw your system six months ago notices what has changed.
We’re a licensed dealer for Carrier, Trane and Rheem, and we maintain every major brand regardless of who installed it.

The best time to book maintenance is before you need it, which is a hard thing to remember and an easy thing to put off.
