Before anyone condemns your air conditioner, the thermostat is worth ruling out — and often it’s the whole problem.
Dead batteries, a tripped float switch, a thermostat that lost its programming, or one that was never calibrated properly and has been reading two degrees off for years. It’s the cheapest fix in air conditioning, and it’s the one we check first.
The other half of this is the upgrade: a smart thermostat, wired and configured to actually work with your system rather than fighting it.

Signs the thermostat is the fault:
Signs it’s time to replace rather than repair:
We start by confirming it’s actually the thermostat. A system that won’t run has several possible causes, and swapping the thermostat to see what happens is a guess, not a diagnosis.
If it needs replacing, the wiring matters more than the model. A great many Florida homes lack a C-wire, which most smart thermostats need for constant power — and the wrong workaround causes intermittent faults that surface weeks later and get blamed on the thermostat. We check what your system has and install accordingly.
Then it’s mounted somewhere sensible — not on an exterior wall, not in direct sun, not above a supply vent, all of which make it read the room wrong — wired, configured to your equipment, and calibrated against an independent thermometer.
We set it up with you and make sure you can actually use it before we leave — including the settings most people never touch, like the humidity control and the fan schedule, which are the two that matter most in this climate.
This is the least expensive work we do, which is exactly why it’s worth checking before assuming something larger.
What moves the price: whether it’s a repair or a replacement, whether the unit is a basic programmable or a full smart thermostat, whether your system has a C-wire or needs one run, and how many zones the house has.
Equipment cost is yours to choose — we’ll tell you which models suit your system and which are wasted money on it. Labor is quoted in writing before we start.

We check the cheap thing first. That’s not a slogan — it’s why this page exists on a site where every other service costs more. Every technician is NATE, EPA 608 Universal and BPI certified, background-checked and drug-tested.
